1) Affects our appearance - the way the cells in your body recognize and use sugar may speed up the body's aging process and make your skin look older;
2) Can lead to Diabetes, & other illnesses - Cardiovascular disease, kidney damage or nerve damage. Diabetes can also cause skin, mouth and bone problems that make the body look and feel older than it should;
3) Can cause damage to the brain - High blood glucose levels can lead to a decreased level of brain activity in the hippocampus. The hippocampus is important for memory and learning, so decreased functioning makes the disease more pronounced, and it has been shown that many patients in the early stages of Alzheimer's have damage to the hippocampus region of their brain; and
4) May feed cancer cells - The theory is that the cancerous cells feed off of glucose in a different way than healthy cells, and if sugar is removed from the diet, the cancerous cells will have a much more difficult time surviving.

For this week, let's just say that I have exercised 3/5 days this week, thus far. I'm going to exercise now, so I should hit 4/5 by this morning. I also joined a fitness challenge group that is adding to my exercise routine. I'm going to add the videos as they come up so you can join in from home.
