I keep trying to find new ways to use all of the oils and products that I place in my hair. I know that I've given you cuticle cream recipes, hair butters, body butters and oils, soaps...but now I've added toothpaste to the mix! I know it is a little extreme, but I did think that it would be a quick and easy recipe to try. Let me know what you think, if you've tried it and any modifications that you would make to the recipe.
Coco Clean Toothpaste
2 tablespoons (virgin) coconut oil
2 tablespoons baking soda
1/2 small packet of stevia powder (or any other artificial sweetener)
25 (or more) drops of peppermint oil*
1. Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl, using a fork.
2. Place in a small, airtight container that will provide you with easy access to your product.
*Start with half of the peppermint oil, and add more according to your taste. You may also wish to experiment with adding other essential oils such as lavender or spearmint in order to find a flavor that you enjoy.
