Over the past few months I've been putting up a weekly exercise post and trying to keep everyone updated on my goals, nutrition, hair and outcomes on a daily basis. I've also been boxing, and three months ago I joined a fitness challenge group. (Remember Animal August? Spartan September? Objective October? ) This month's challenge was to come up with our own routines, post them, and stick with it. I came up with the routines above, and entitled my month Nifty November.
I tried to come up with several routines that would incorporate full body exercise, but that could be done fairly quickly since I would be doing these routines first thing in the morning (ideally). I wanted to have an upper body, lower body, ab exercise, and a full body exercise for at least three days a week, two days that would focus more on cardio, an abs day, and a day doing an exercise that I find to be really challenging - the frog jumps.

Monday
Goal: Boxing/Nifty November
Nutrition: Green smoothie - apricot nectar, pear, carrots, grapes, ginger, carrots, and spinach. I also had several shrimp, 1/2 a crab cake, a few tortellini in a cream sauce, roast beef, a small roll, chicken noodle soup, 4 lemon almond cookies, a cheese Danish, a chocolate chip cookie, 2 squares of chocolate, and an apricot nectar, grape, and ginger mixed drink.
Hair: I put the ends of my twist out up into a bun. No pics.
Outcome: I went to boxing, I did the routine that began with planks. It ended up being 3 planks, two of them for 2 minutes.
Tuesday
Goal: Boxing/Nifty November
Nutrition: I started the day with another green smoothie, this time with kale, carrots, apricot nectar, ginger, 1/2 an orange, and grapes. I finished the crab cakes and tortellini, had some roasted pumpkin, and green salad with tuna to top it all off. I ended the day with a green apple. And chocolate. and 4 lemon ginger cookies.
Hair: I did two rolls into a bun.
Outcome: I went to boxing, and I eventually did my Nifty November challenge - the routine that started with Burpees.
Wednesday
Goal: Boxing/Nifty November
Nutrition: Green smoothie - Kale, carrots, green apple, orange, lime, ginger, grapes. Later I had a cheese danish, 6 pieces of sushi, 2 chocolate chip cookies, a bag of blue potato chips, some fried rice, a little beef, a little curry chicken salad, and a small green salad. I later made an apricot nectar, ginger powder, lime, and ice drink.
Hair: Same.
Outcome: I ran!!!! And I went to boxing.
Thursday
Goal: Boxing/Nifty November
Nutrition: Green smoothie - kale, carrots, grapes, mango, and green apple. I had a breakfast platter of scrambled eggs, a biscuit, hash browns, and a chicken patty. Later I had 4 little cookies (175 calories), then I had a 6 inch Subway sandwich.
Hair: Bun
Outcome: I did my 50 Frog Jumps and went to boxing.
Friday
Goal: Training/Nifty November
Nutrition: I had a green smoothie with pineapple, mango, banana, grapes, ginger, carrots, and kale. I had the other half of my Subway sandwich, two chocolate chip cookies, and then some Thai veggies with chicken. I ate too much white rice.
Hair: Puffy, puff to the side.
Outcome: I didn't do any of my Nifty November exercises, but I did go my trainer's class in the morning. It was, as always, a great workout.
Saturday
Goal: Boxing/Nifty November
Nutrition: I had a green smoothie at some point during the day, a frozen strawberry lemonade, and a buffalo chicken wrap with french fries.
Hair: Same
Outcome: I ended up going to my boxing class, and later I had to make up for missing Friday's exercise. I ended up doing the 200 sit-ups, and the routine that started with the weighted squats.
Sunday
Goal: Boxing/Nifty November
Nutrition: A green smoothie at night, and I did my food prep for the week. It included chicken fried rice, turkey meatloaf, sweet potato mash, spinach tortellini with turkey meatballs, citrus cilantro sphrimp, and pizza. I think I ended up with 14 meals. I ended up tasting the fried rice, the meatloaf, the shrimp, and the totellini - so that served as my dinner. During the day I made myself a cheese pizza. And I had 4 or 5 Chessmen.
Hair: I finally did a version of the hair inspiration from last week. I'm doing an update shortly.
Outcome: I didn't run, but I did jump rope for some period of time - not the 1/2 hour I was supposed to, but I did something.
