My feet hurt. I need a foot massage and a podiatrist (and a pedicure wouldn't hurt), but today I am going to settle for making and using this recipe for a peppermint foot scrub! I'm sure you have the ingredients at home. I hope you enjoy the mix....
Refresh Your Feet Scrub
1 cup granulated (common) sugar
5 drops peppermint or other essential oils
Coconut or Olive oil (enough to thoroughly dampen the sugar)
This recipe is very simple. Pour the sugar into a bowl and pour in enough Coconut or Olive oil to dampen the sugar. It should end up with a grainy consistency. Mix in your essential oil. Scrub away...(but it works best if you have soaked your feet before using the scrub)...Pour the mix into an airtight container if not used immediately. Recipe modified from The Idea Room)
- If you would like to up the ante for the revitalizing aspects of the scrub, you may want to do a mix of rosemary, lemon, peppermint, and sweet basil essential oils. Tea tree or grapefruit also seems like a nice options.
- You can easily make your own citrus essential oils by following this link. And read my post (Are There Other Uses for Your Hair Products?).
- If you do not have Coconut or Olive oil, feel free to use Grape Seed oil instead.
