(Updated) Natural Music...Wynter Gordon

I was clicking on Essence.com and came across a photo of a pretty natural with a gorgeous head of hair. I immediately started doing some research and discovered that she is a musician, songwriter, and fashionista hailing from Queens, NY. She's been writing music for years and has written songs for Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez and others.

Her debut album, With the Music I Die, was released by Big Beat Records in 2011. It  is made up of dance/club beats and was an international hit. Check out the video for the lead single, Buy My Love, above. Her new single, Dirty Talk, came out in June.

Apparently Wynter's signature style comes from twist-outs done with aloe jelly. She does her twists at night, and gets good hold without any flakes!
