October Exercise Challenge - Objective October & Daily Exercise Log

It's October and a new fitness challenge has begun. Spartan September is finally over, and I am glad. Although it might have been worth all of the pain because I can say that my abs and arms are showing significantly more definition. Maybe there is something to be said for Spartans plus 150 sit ups every day....Anyway, this month is all about variety. Phil has gone into his bag of tricks and pulled out flashbacks from September, then those horrible old animal crawls, then moved on to abs, abs, abs, arms arms arms, lower body, upper body, back, full body then a run - just for the heck of it. Monday

Goal: Boxing/Objective October

Nutrition: Green smoothie - banana, kiwi, carrots, strawberry, spinach, orange juice and flaxseed oil, a cupcake with frosting (I made them), two orange slice candies, brown stew chicken with rice & peas.

Hair: Bun with twist out bangs - I posted a pic on Instagram.

Outcome: Objective completed, plus 200 jumping jacks, 40 jump squats, 30 jump lunges, and push ups.

Tuesday

Goal: Boxing/Objective

Nutrition: Green smoothie - orange juice, strawberry, grapes, mango, carrots, kale, flaxseed oil. I had a bagel because I was STARVING. I also ate a delicious serving of quinoa, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans and rotisserie chicken. If I hadn't had a sugar, lime, cucumber, grape, and green apple drink, M&Ms and Munchies for dinner, It might have been a successful day. 

Hair: Same bun but I separated out the bang into three pieces and pinned them back.  

Outcome: I did go to boxing, and I completed the objective and did 50 jump squats - I'd never done wood choppers before...I felt the ab workout.

Wednesday

Goal: Boxing/Objective

Nutrition: Green smoothie - ginger, carrots, orange juice, flaxseed oil, cucumber, grapes, mango, green apple, and spinach. I later had two scrambled egges with spinach, red onions, and mushrooms with a slice of whole wheat toast. I had some lentil soup and a small whole wheat pizza with turkey meatballs, peppers, and onions. I also had Powerade, ice cream and Munchies for dinner. Another fail.  

Hair: Same bun, but I separated the bank into four sections and did some kind of Janelle Monae thing with it...I took photos, but I wasn't impressed.

Outcome: I went to boxing, and I completed my objective (planks), Boxing was interesting because we had a different trainer and he tried to kill us with calesthenics. My arms felt like noodles, and I did not put in the level of effort that I usually do. My bady gave out on me a few times, but even worse, I gave up. During our ring time we it was kind of exciting because Usher came in! I told you we had the same trainer!!

Thursday

Goal: Pole Dance/Boxing/Objective

Nutrition: Green smoothie - pinapple, coconut milk, kale, grapes, carrots, flaxseed oil, and banana.  

Hair: In a big, damp puff.  

Outcome: I completed the objective this morning, did very few squat jumps, 25 squats, and 25 jumping jacks. My legs felt very sore. I need to drink more water.

Friday

Goal: Training/Objective

Nutrition: Green smoothie, Rotisserie chicken with quinoa, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. Then I had McDonald's for dinner. A McDouble and medium fries. 

Hair: Same

Outcome: I  did squats, lunges, and jumps but I didn't complete the objective.

Saturday

Goal: Run/Hike/Boxing/Objective

Nutrition:  I had a Green Goodness smoothie by Bolthouse, I also had a little pasta salad, crab salad, crackers, roasted peppers, roasted mushrooms, and I tried my first brussel sprout. I ended the day with a Snickers bar and another green smoothie (this time homemade). 

Hair:I tried a hair inspiration and added it to the post. 

Outcome: I did do some calisthenics, and I completed Friday's objective, but not Saturday's.

Sunday 

Goal: Something/Objective

Nutrition: I had a little pizza and later on a Wendy's chicken sandwich and fries. 
Hair: Same

Outcome:  I didn't exercise.
