Monday's Hair - October 6th

So on Monday I happened upon a cute New Day, New 'do hairstyle. I'll give you the steps as I remember them and maybe I'll be able to recreate it also. I'm hoping that it wasn't a one time hairstyle.

1. Create u shaped part at the front middle of your hairline. Make the bottom of the u reach to about your ears.

2. Take the back of the hair and create a Ballerina bun. For info on how to do a Ballerina bun or a Stuffed Puff, my book One Hairstyle, Thirty-one Ways available on Amazon.com. I think that hte bang works with pretty much any style in the back - a braid, roll etc. all work.

3. Determine whether you would like your bang to end up pinned towards the left or right.

4. I planned to pin my hair towards the right. I lightly dampened the hair with a leave in conditioner and water. I then formed one flat twist on the right side of my u shaped part and facing toward the front of my head. I created 4 double strand twists with the rest. I rolled the ends with flexi rods.

5. After taking out the flexi rods, I undid the twists with lightly oiled hands. I did not separate the hair beyond gently undoing the twists.

6. I treated the flat twisted hair as if it were a separate section and pinned it in a fairly tight roll and toward the right. I then swooped the remaining hair to the right. I pinned the ends of those twists into about the middle if the roll formed by the flat twist.

That should do it. I keep trying to do my bangs in different ways because it is an easy way to change your look without too much time or committment. I hope you like it...
