

BUT...I have just come across an article about the Sengalese practice of tattooing one's gums with a combination of burnt oil and shea butter. Apparently the combination makes one's teeth look brighter and whiter, protects the gums, and is even supposed to improve one's breath. It is a tradition that has been done for generations. It seems like a painful process, but people often say (or said) "no pain, no gain".To read the article, click here.
